Tecovas partners with invent.ai for automated allocation and replenishment

The western wear brand is transforming its inventory management system with AI.

Boots were made for walkin’, but Texas-based western wear brand Tecovas would rather have AI do some of the heavy lifting when it comes to inventory management.

The company is adding an AI-powered notch to its belt by partnering with invent.ai, a global AI decisioning platform, to help transform its inventory management system. The partnership comes on the back of a successful pilot and forms the next stage in Tecovas’s growth plan as the brand continues to expand its retail fleet.

“Our initial pilot with invent.ai delivered outstanding results,” said Kevin Harwood, CTO at Tecovas. “They improved in-stock rates, reduced excess inventory, and streamlined our planning processes. Seeing such measurable results upfront gave us the confidence to phase invent.ai’s solutions across all our stores.”

From the pilot, Tecovas saw a 2% increase in Weighted in Stock (a key inventory metric) and a 2.7% increase in apparel and accessories—meaning the brand has more products available on shelves. Tecovas’s Weeks of Supply (how many weeks of stock a company has left based on historical demand) also increased by 0.45, allowing for more efficient inventory management without overstocking. Sales for newly launched products also increased by 20%.

According to invent.ai, its services are meant to predict store-level product demand by constantly monitoring inventory across stores, distribution, and fulfillment centers. The company boasts it reduces workload by 80% “through automated and optimized inventory flows.”
